Political instability:

The lack of democracy in the nation has also exacerbated the situation. Political disputes and conflicts have frequently been settled through force instead of through peaceful and negotiated resolutions in the absence of democratic processes.

Weak civil society:

For any democracy to remain stable and grow, a strong and active civil society is essential. The absence of democracy in Pakistan has harmed civil society and made it more difficult for citizens to participate in democracy and hold those in positions of power accountable.
